Each piece is built by hand using solid Knotty Alder—a sturdy, character-rich hardwood that endures daily life while remaining timeless. We meticulously hand-stain every item in the color of your choice, then seal it with a protective polyurethane finish.

Knots on the main dining surface are filled for a clean look, while the rest are left untouched to showcase the natural beauty that makes each piece truly one-of-a-kind.

At Foster & Fig, your piece's dimensions are customized to your unique vision.

Dining: The tabletop itself is 36" wide by approximately 1.25” thick, complemented by a 3.5” apron that frames the table.

Bedroom: The beds come standard at a 12" tall frame with a headboard reaching 34" above the frame and 46" tall from the floor. Live edge headboards vary typically between 1-8" shorter than this depending o the unique piece.

Please keep in mind that these figures are approximate. As each piece is hand-built, there may be slight variations—up to 1”—that highlight the charm of truly bespoke furniture.

At Foster & Fig, our artisans carefully fill the visible surface knots for a smooth, easy-to-maintain finish, while leaving other knots untouched to preserve the wood's authentic character.

For everyday care, we recommend a simple wipe-down with water and a wood-safe cleaner. Steer clear of abrasive or harsh chemicals that might damage the finish, and always use a trivet or coaster for hot items.

• If your order doesn’t arrive in the color, size (within our 1" allowance), or style you selected, we’ll replace it.
• If your delivery arrives with damage, and that damage is documented on the paperwork, we’ll assess the situation and either repair or replace the affected pieces at our discretion.
• Should your item develop any unnatural cracks or splits, our warranty ensures we’ll repair or replace it accordingly.
